The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has unearthed new evidence linking Hashim Dagane Muhumed to another horrifying murder, shocking Nairobi residents and further raising fears about his suspected criminal activities. The prime suspect in the brutal killing of a mother, her daughter, and her 12-year-old niece is now under investigation for a separate, equally disturbing incident.
On October 31, 2024, a mutilated body was found dumped at Langata Cemetery. In their investigations, detectives followed crucial clues that led them to a Quickmart supermarket in Nairobi, where CCTV footage captured the victim shopping on October 29. From there, she went to an apartment in Lavington, where she was again recorded by CCTV cameras, this time entering the premises alongside Dagane.

The detectives reported, “The lady was last seen in Dagane’s company at the apartment. He was later seen leaving with two bags, suspected to contain the victim’s remains.” Later that day, these remains were discovered at Langata Cemetery.
Further investigation revealed that after Dagane left, the apartment owner allegedly cleaned the scene, repainted the rooms, and disappeared. Detectives are actively searching for him, and DCI Kenya has assured the public that “it is just a matter of time before he is smoked out of his hideout.”
The victim is believed to be Deka Abdinoor Gorone, who was reported missing at California Police Station on October 24. Forensic tests are underway to confirm her identity.
The DCI has emphasized its commitment to “ensuring justice for the victims” as they continue to explore other possible links to Dagane’s criminal activities. As the case unfolds, Nairobi residents remain on edge, awaiting justice for the victims and answers from the ongoing investigation.
