Breaking News: Prime Suspect in Kware Murders Escapes from Gigiri Police Station
Suspected Kware massacre serail Killer, Mr. Collins Jumaisi Khalusha

In a dramatic turn of events, Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, the prime suspect in the infamous Kware murders, has escaped from Gigiri Police Station in Nairobi. The escape occurred early Tuesday morning when police discovered that Jumaisi, along with 12 other detainees—all Eritrean nationals—had broken out of their cells.

The group managed to cut through a wire mesh and scale the perimeter wall of the police station, making their way to freedom. Jumaisi, who faces charges for the murder of up to 42 women, was awaiting a court appearance scheduled for Friday.

Director of Criminal Investigations, Mohamed Amin, confirmed the escape and announced that a manhunt is underway to recapture the fugitives. "It is unfortunate this has happened, but we are pursuing the matter for action," Amin said.

The escape has raised significant concerns about security at Gigiri Police Station, especially given Jumaisi’s high-profile status. Senior police officers have been deployed to the scene to assess the situation and intensify the search for the escapees.

Jumaisi was being held at Gigiri Police Station following a court order extending his detention by seven days. His co-accused remain at Muthaiga Police Station.

The incident has put intense pressure on the police to recapture the suspects and address the security shortcomings that allowed such a high-profile criminal to escape.
