Two Dead, Three Injured as Fresh Import Range Rover Collides with Canter in Kilifi County
Two people died and three others were injured in a head-on collision between a fresh import Range Rover and a canter in Kilifi County. The crash occurred in the Maji Ya Chumvi area early Tuesday morning when the Range Rover, traveling from Mombasa to Nairobi, collided with the canter while overtaking. The incident happened at around 7 a.m. in the Maji Ya Chumvi area. The driver of the Range Rover, speeding and attempting to overtake another vehicle, misjudged the maneuver and crashed into the oncoming canter. The driver and a female passenger died at the scene, while the injured were taken to Mariakani Sub County Hospital.
Two people lost their lives on Tuesday morning in a head-on collision between a four-wheel-drive vehicle and a canter in the Mariakani area of Kilifi County. The incident occurred around 7 a.m. in the Maji Ya Chumvi area.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 37-year-old Jamal Mubarak, was traveling at high speed from Mombasa to Nairobi. While attempting to overtake another vehicle, he misjudged the maneuver and collided with an oncoming FRR Isuzu canter.
Both Mubarak and a female passenger died at the scene. Three individuals in the canter sustained serious injuries and were taken to Mariakani Sub County Hospital for treatment.
