In a tragic incident, a bus traveling from Moyale to Nairobi was attacked by armed men on a road between Bori Junction and Dadach Lakole.

The bus, operated by Salama Bus, was ambushed by gunmen believed to be part of the Shifta group, a militant group known in the area.

As the attackers fired at the bus, passengers were thrown into panic. Sadly, one person was killed, and several others were seriously injured.

Four of the injured were quickly taken to the nearest hospital, where they are now receiving treatment.

Authorities are investigating the attack and are working to find those responsible.

The area around Moyale has seen occasional violence, often linked to ethnic conflicts, banditry, and attacks by militant groups like the Shifta.

Such incidents cause loss of life, injuries, and fear among local communities and travelers, making the region even more unstable.

The Kenyan government has promised to improve security along these dangerous routes to prevent future attacks and protect civilians.
